Dr Chris van Ryswyk brings over a decade of experience in public and private dental practice. He has a special interest in restorative and implant dentistry, supported by further education and training in this field.
At Dental.Affect, we provide general dental check-ups, same-day ceramic crowns created with CAD/CAM technology, and custom-made oral devices for snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea. We also offer single-tooth implants, full upper-arch implant solutions, facial and jaw pain assessment, clear aligner treatment, family check-ups and preventive care, with attention to comfort and individual needs.

Dr Chris van Ryswyk
Director & Principal Dentist, Dental.Affect
Chris began studying dentistry at the University of Stellenbosch and graduated in 2007. He served in South Africa for one year in the rural public service before relocating to Torquay with his wife in 2008. He established Surfside Dental (Torquay) in 2013, one of the first of a new wave of private dental clinics on the Surf Coast. Following the sale of Surfside Dental in 2024, he relocated to Geelong and established Dental.Affect in mid-2025.
Outside the clinic, you will find Chris and his wife mountain biking with their three boys or supporting them next to the sports field, coffee in hand.
